His Divine Essence

Before He did anything for you, He simply was. I Am.

If you only know what Jesus does, you have not quite met Him yet. His mercy, His Heart, His will, all of it flows from something deeper. Who He is. His very being. Blessed Conchita spent her whole life gazing into that.

Maria Concepción Cabrera de Armida, known to everyone as Conchita, was a Mexican wife, a mother of nine, and a widow. She was not a cloistered nun. She raised a family through a revolution. And all the while, Jesus was drawing her into the depths of His inner life.

She filled tens of thousands of pages with what He revealed. Not mainly what He wanted done, but who He is. The life burning inside the Trinity. The love flowing between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The I Am who once spoke to Moses from the fire, now speaking to a mother from the Eucharist.

Jesus showed Conchita the hidden sufferings and the hidden love of His Heart. The interior life behind the Gospel we think we already know.

The Holy Spirit

She received a profound message about the Holy Spirit and a renewal of His life in the Church. A kind of new Pentecost of love.

The Cross

He gave her the Spirituality of the Cross, an invitation to share in His own self-giving. To love the way He loves, all the way to the end.

The Eucharist

Much of what she saw came in adoration, before the I Am who stays with us still, hidden in bread, holding the whole world in being.

To know what Jesus is like is good. To know who He is, is everything.

He is not far away and abstract. He is I Am. And He is here, holding you in existence at this very moment.
